Crypto presale safety checklist
A presale can be technically functional and still carry substantial financial, operational and liquidity risk.
Contract and network
- Verify the exact contract address from an official source.
- Confirm source-code verification where available.
- Check the intended network before connecting a wallet.
Tokenomics and control
- Review total supply, presale allocation and wallet limits.
- Look for privileged owner/controller functions.
- Check whether vesting, treasury and liquidity arrangements are published.
Security and liquidity
- Do not treat explorer source verification as an audit.
- Check whether an independent security review exists.
- Understand whether liquidity exists, is planned, or is locked.
Marketing claims
- Be cautious with guaranteed-return, guaranteed-listing or urgency claims.
- Distinguish completed milestones from planned milestones.
- Verify exchange or partnership claims from the counterparty's official channels when possible.
Wallet transaction
- Review token approvals and spending limits.
- Confirm the destination contract and amount.
- Verify the final transaction on-chain.
